Yvette Bracone Walker is a trailblazer in Southern California’s business community, celebrated for her innovation and unwavering dedication to empowering others. As the daughter of a Mexican immigrant and a first-generation resident, Yvette’s early life was shaped by her father’s untimely passing, which led to food and housing insecurity. At just 10 years old, she found resilience and resourcefulness—cleaning homes, making meals, and selling flowers to support her family. She began volunteering at her local church at age 12, a commitment that continued into adulthood and deepened her sense of service. These hardships and experiences instilled a deep empathy and drive that continue to inspire her work.
Yvette’s career began in international manufacturing, where she advanced from graphic designer to leading trade markets across China, Canada, South America, and the U.S. She’s spent the past 25 years uplifting local small businesses, helping them thrive in competitive environments. Her impact extended to the legal field, playing a pivotal role in establishing and growing a fledgling firm to a preeminent litigation firm, supporting colleagues—one of whom became a judge—through her leadership in marketing and strategy.
A respected voice in media, Yvette founded, hosts, and produces the ABC News Affiliate Southern California Business Report, spotlighting local entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and community initiatives. She also hosts “IE Latino Voices” with KVCR Public Media, amplifying Latino stories with support from the CIELO fund at the Inland Empire Community Foundation.
Yvette’s heart for service shines through her work developing the Community Leadership Certificate Program with the Inland Empire Hispanic Leadership Council and the University of La Verne, recognized nationally for advancing multicultural leadership in education, healthcare, and economic development.
Her civic engagement includes serving as chairwoman of Upland’s Community Development Block Grant Committee and as a Planning Commissioner, as well as leading regional Health and Education Summits.
Family and community inspire everything Yvette does. She co-led her daughter Sophia’s Girl Scout troop from Daisy to Silver Award, and celebrates her son Nicholas’ achievement as an Eagle Scout and Alexander’s passion for biblical studies. These experiences fuel her belief in mentorship, service, and the power of uplifting others.
Yvette is a devoted mother to Sophia, an aspiring law student; Nicholas, an industrial engineering student; and Alexander, a high school student. She dreams of visiting all 50 states with her family, sharing her adventurous spirit and love for America’s diversity.
Yvette Bracone Walker’s journey is one of resilience, gratitude, and service—championing change, empowering communities, and inspiring future generations.
